K.D. Walker is a Turkish American writer raised in Los Angeles. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Pomona College and is currently pursuing her MFA in Creative Writing at the University of Notre Dame.

Her writing has been published in the LA Times, Electric Literature, and the Threepenny Review. A Pushcart Prize nominee, she has also been selected as a Tin House Scholar, Periplus Fellow, and Virginia Center for Creative Arts Fellow-in-Residence.

While in college, K.D. worked as the Research Assistant to New York Times best-selling author Jonathan Lethem and was under the tutelage of Mary Gaitskill. She was formerly a reader for One Story and has previously interned at Electric Literature, Penguin Random House, and Atlantic Records.
